Description

Clutch Disc is a key part of a vehicle’s manual transmission system. It transfers engine power to the gearbox and allows the driver to smoothly engage or disengage the engine from the wheels.

What a clutch disc does

• Sits between the flywheel and pressure plate

• When engaged, it transmits engine torque to the transmission

• When disengaged, it disconnects power so gears can be changed smoothly

Main parts of a clutch disc

• Friction linings: Grip the flywheel and pressure plate

• Hub (splined center): Connects to the transmission shaft
